I just finished reading The Fortune Quilt by Lani Diane Rich. I know it is supposed to be a fun read, and it is lots of fun. But this book really touched me. It is about a woman whose world comes crashing down and she escapes to an artists' colony to try to rebuild her life. In the wacky world of Bilby, Arizona, she learns to live the life she is supposed to live. My friends in knitting circle all told me I should read it. They were so right. It is funny and warm.
